  Great wines, locally made and internationally award winning. It was a pleasure to stop in here for a quick tasting and was more than happy to take a good bottle back to the hotel in Goreme. Probably the most legitimate wine shop in the area, others in towns nearby are mostly liquor stores with random selections sold by non-drinkers, hard to trust. This place was friendly for service, nice building, easy parking.

  We went to the shop for a wine-tour but we’ve been informed that we can only try-taste the wines without any informatory tour. That was fine for us too, and we tried a few different products. At the end we didn’t want to leave the shop without buying anything, so i chose Kavaklidere-Sultaniye, a semi-sweet wine. The guy charged us 100 TL for one bottle and he didn’t give any invoice. I suspected after we left the shop (due to the price being so flat and the guy not issuing any invoice) and checked the price on internet. Apparently this wine is sold in 40-50 TL range. I’m not sure if the owner is aware of such cases. Here’s the photo of the guy who overcharged us.
