Climb the hill above the town to reach Windmills, which date back to the 18th century. Nestled high above the crowded streets and hotels, this secluded spot features seven windmills in varying states, ranging from eerie and crumbling to newly restored. The locals used them until the 1970s, after which they were left at the mercy of wind, rain, and frost. On a clear day you should be able to see Bodrum, Gumbet, and even the Greek island of Kos from the site. Be aware that the area surrounding the mills can be a bit run-down.     Amazing walk to those mills! Love it. Sunset or sunrise on your choice, both great. Taxi max £3, maybe not even that. Enjoyed the view.  more »

    This is just off main road drove hire car few yards up a hill to these very old windmills and then parked car and walked up a little path and was overwell by the view of all over bodrum out to sea...  more »
