At Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, see the world's oldest known shipwreck and its treasury holding wooden logs, gems, and hippopotamus ivory. Situated inside the rooms and towers of St. Peter's Castle, the museum showcases collections of ancient artifacts retrieved from local shipwrecks, such as amphorae, coins, and Canaanite gold jewelry. Look for a solid gold scarab that belonged to the Egyptian queen Nefertiti. The battalions provide great views of the surrounding area. Many of the exhibits can be touched. There are no tour guides here, but panels, maps, models, dioramas, and videos provide necessary information.     Due to restoration, half of the museum and castle is closed. Also no explanation is written on artifacts. Shame for Turkey, my beloved country.

    i do not know if this museum is as great as they say but when visited almost all the museum was closed for restoration (well these things happen). But i payed an expensive ticket just for a small walk in the castle
