One of the country's major artistic and cultural centers, famed for its many annual festivals, Cork straddles the Lee River and boasts over 30 bridges.
Kick off your visit on the 18th (Fri): get to know the resident critters at Fota Wildlife Park and then deepen your understanding at The Donkey Sanctuary. Keep things going the next day: explore the galleries of Kinsale Pottery and Arts Centre, then steep yourself in history at Charles Fort, and then kick back and relax at Ballynamona Beach.

Traveling by train from Dublin to Cork takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 11°C in November, and nighttime lows around 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sat) so you can drive to Killarney.

Continuously inhabited since the Neolithic period, Killarney draws visitors with its picturesque natural scenery, fine restaurants, and traditional pubs.
Get in touch with nature at Killarney National Park and Conor Pass. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Killarney: Gougane Barra National Forest Park (in Gougane Barra) and NU goldsmith (in Dingle). There's more to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Innisfallen Island.
