Set against the stark but scenic coastline of the Bass Strait--the body of water separating Victoria and Tasmania--Torquay is a prime location for surfing and beach life in general.
Kick off your visit on the 20th (Wed): enjoy the sand and surf at Bells Beach, then visit a coastal fixture at Split Point Lighthouse, and then admire the sheer force of Erskine Falls. Here are some ideas for day two: kick back and relax at Lorne Beach.
