Pokhara, the second largest city in the country, attracts visitors with its superlative natural wonders and easygoing atmosphere.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Paddle Nepal - Day Tours and Helicopter Tours. There's still lots to do: get the adrenaline pumping with an extreme tour, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Peace Temple, and contemplate the waterfront views at Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake).

Gorakhpur, India to Pokhara is an approximately 8-hour car ride. You'll lose 0.2 hours traveling from Gorakhpur to Pokhara due to the time zone difference. When traveling from Gorakhpur in November, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Pokhara: temperatures range from 28°C by day to 15°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) so you can travel to Kathmandu.

Kathmandu

Once synonymous with the mysterious and inaccessible Shangri-La, today Kathmandu draws an ever-increasing number of tourists, catering to independent travelers of various budgets.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Skydiving and Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar). There's much more to do: paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour, stop by Gorkha Zone Khukuri House, don't miss a visit to Ghanta Ghar Clock Tower, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

Traveling by combination of flight and car from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Pokhara in December, expect little chillier with lows of 5°C in Kathmandu. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Thu) so you can go by car to Nagarkot.

Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a former Village Development Committee located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nepal in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone and as of 2015 part of Nagarkot Municipality. Kick off your visit on the 4th (Fri): trek along Nagarkot Panoramic Hiking Trail and then glide through the air with Nagarkot Everest View Paragliding.

Drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and car. In December, plan for daily highs up to 22°C, and evening lows to 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 4th (Fri) so you can travel to Lumbini.

An important place of Buddhist pilgrimage, Lumbini represents the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.

Traveling by flight from Nagarkot to Lumbini takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of car and bus. Traveling from Nagarkot in December, Lumbini is a bit warmer at night with lows of 14°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
