Sports Capital of Russia
The heart of Tatar culture, Kazan carries the epithet of the "Third Capital of Russia" because of its rich history and thriving economy. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kazan: Raifa (Trinity Cathedral, Raifa Monastery, &more). The adventure continues: contemplate the long history of Kazan Kremlin, take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of the Apostles Peter and Paul, examine the collection at Konstantin Vasiliev Museum, and wander the streets of Bauman Street (Kazansky Arbat).
For reviews, maps, and tourist information, go to the Kazan day trip planning website.
