With a nickname like the "Pearl of the Orient," it's not surprising Shanghai offers some of the most rewarding attractions and activities in the Far East.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sun): examine the collection at Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan), then get great views at Jin Mao Tower, then enjoy breathtaking views from Oriental Pearl Tower (Dongfang Mingzhu), and finally take in panoramic vistas at Shanghai World Financial Center. Keep things going the next day: admire the landmark architecture of Jade Buddha Temple, admire the natural beauty at Yu Garden (Yuyuan), then make a trip to The Bund (Wai Tan), and finally don't miss a visit to Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road).

Warsaw, Poland to Shanghai is an approximately 15-hour flight. You can also drive. The time zone difference moving from Central European Standard Time to China Standard Time is 7 hours. Traveling from Warsaw in May, expect Shanghai to be somewhat warmer, temps between 30°C and 20°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 3rd (Mon) so you can travel to Hong Kong.

Kick off your visit on the 4th (Tue): make a trip to Hong Kong Skyline, then experience the excitement of Sandbox VR, and then enjoy breathtaking views from Victoria Peak (The Peak). On the 5th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Traveling by flight from Shanghai to Hong Kong takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. Traveling from Shanghai in May, expect Hong Kong to be a bit warmer, temps between 36°C and 30°C. You'll set off for Guilin on the 6th (Thu).

Guilin

The riverside karst landscape around Guilin has long made it a favorite with Chinese poets, photographers, and travelers.
Start off your visit on the 6th (Thu): explore the ancient world of Jiangtouzhou Ancient Dwellings.

You can take a train from Hong Kong to Guilin in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly. In May, Guilin is slightly colder than Hong Kong - with highs of 32°C and lows of 24°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Thu) so you can travel to Chengdu.

The home of giant pandas for more than two million years, Chengdu's vast human history cowers in comparison to the natural heritage of the area.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Fri): take an in-depth tour of Jinsha Site Museum, identify plant and animal life at Giant Panda Breeding Research Base (Xiongmao Jidi), and then stroll around Beihu Park.

Fly from Guilin to Chengdu in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. In May, daily temperatures in Chengdu can reach 32°C, while at night they dip to 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Xi'an.

Xi'an

Historians often describe Xi'an, capital city for over a dozen dynasties, as the birthplace of Chinese civilization.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Sat): delve into the distant past at Xi'an City Wall (Chengqiang).
