Pearl of Lake Como

Known as the pearl of Lake Como for its luxury accommodations, high-end shops, and fine dining options, Bellagio serves as the lake's premiere resort town.
Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Vezio (in Vezio), Varenna (Il Giardino Botanico - Hotel Villa Cipressi, Villa Monastero, &more) and Tremezzina (Villa Carlotta & Villa del Balbianello). There's lots more to do: explore the activities along Lago di Como, stop by Laved, don't miss a visit to Borgo di Pescallo, and admire the natural beauty at I Giardini di Villa Melzi.

Kick off your visit on the 10th (Wed): take in the awesome beauty at Monte Bre, delve into the distant past at Monte San Giorgio, then explore the activities along Lake Lugano, and finally walk around Parco Ciani. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: walk around Parco Sul Fiume Cassarate Al Piano Stampa and then relax and rejuvenate at Splash & Spa Tamaro.

In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
Start off your visit on the 12th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Piazza Sant'Alessandro, pause for some serene contemplation at Duomo di Milano, then get to know the fascinating history of Piazza del Duomo, then explore the different monuments and memorials at Monumental Cemetery, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Il Cenacolo.

Traveling by car from Lugano to Milan takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a train. In March, daytime highs in Milan are 16°C, while nighttime lows are 5°C. On the 13th (Sat), you'll have the morning to explore before heading back home.
