As Valencia’s second largest city and one of the most well-known along the Costa Blanca, Alicante has an enchanting atmosphere that blends rich history with animated beach life.

Head to Mercat del Riurau and Taller Diezyochofor plenty of shopping. Escape the urban bustle at Playa de Levante and Siesta Advisor. Change things up with these side-trips from Alicante: Calpe (Peñón de Ifac Natural Park, Sendero Voramar - Calalga o Bassetes, &more), Playa El Rebollo (in La Marina) and Museo del Palmeral Huerto de San Placido (in Elche). There's still lots to do: browse the different shops at Zenia Boulevard, tour the pleasant surroundings at Playa El Campo, make a trip to Explanada de Espana, and enjoy the sand and surf at Poniente Beach.
