Famed for its landscape of unusually shaped stone formations and churches cut into the natural rocks, Goreme sits in the central part of the country, an area originally settled during Roman times.
Start off your visit on the 19th (Fri): appreciate the extensive heritage of Güvercinlik Vadisi (Pigeon Valley), appreciate the views at Gulludere Vadisi, explore the striking landscape at Fairy Chimneys, then contemplate the long history of Goreme National Park, and finally soar above the sights with Royal Balloon.

Traveling by flight from Istanbul to Goreme takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Istanbul in June, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be little chillier in Goreme, with lows of 15°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Fri) to allow enough time to travel to Antalya.

Offering both sandy beaches packed with modern amenities and a historical town center filled with Roman ruins and Ottoman mosques, Antalya serves as one of the country's major tourist destinations.

You can fly from Goreme to Antalya in 5.5 hours. Other options are to drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. Traveling from Goreme in June, expect Antalya to be somewhat warmer, temps between 36°C and 23°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 23rd (Tue) so you can go by car to Alanya.

A modest coastal town for most of its long history, Alanya became a cosmopolitan tourist destination in the 1990s, drawing big crowds with its nightlife and long stretch of sandy beaches.
