Gateway to the Highlands

Inverness, often described as the Gateway to the Highlands, is a thriving commercial and industrial center.
On the 28th (Sat), steep yourself in history at Fort George, then stroll through Nairn Beach, then witness the site of a historic battle at Culloden Battlefield, and finally make a trip to Clava Cairns. On the 29th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: walk around RZSS Highland Wildlife Park, look for all kinds of wild species at Highland Wildlife & Birdwatch Safaris, and then identify plant and animal life at Cairngorm Reindeer Centre.
