We've included these beaches for you: Waikiki Beach and Kapiolani Regional Park. Get outdoors at Diamond Head State Monument and Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve. There's more to do: browse the different shops at Ala Moana Center and take in the dramatic scenery at Manoa Falls.

To see other places to visit, reviews, where to stay, and tourist information, use the Honolulu itinerary planner.

Kailua-Kona, Island of Hawaii

Thanks to its favorable location near a mountain range blocking the northeasterly trade winds, Kailua-Kona gets little rainfall, allowing adventure seekers and nature lovers a chance to enjoy over 300 days of sunshine each year.
On the 21st (Fri), look for gifts at Mrs. Barry's Kona Cookies, then get close to the beloved marine mammals with a swim-with-the-dolphins experience, then experience rural life at Heavenly Hawaiian Kona Coffee Farm, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Kahaluu Beach.

For photos, more things to do, maps, and tourist information, read Kailua-Kona trip planner.

Do a combination of flight and bus from Lahaina to Kailua-Kona in 4 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus, flight, and taxi; or do a combination of bus and flight.
