A history spanning over a thousand years, vibrant nightlife, and a mix of Georgian and modern architecture make Dublin a popular European tourist destination.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Bru na Boinne and Glasrai Goodies. For shopping fun, head to Olde Shillelagh Stick Maker or Jerpoint Glass Studio. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Dublin: Kilkenny (Kilkenny Castle & Kilkenny Handwrought Silver). There's still lots to do: browse the exhibits of Kilmainham Gaol Museum, see the interesting displays at Guinness Storehouse, wander the streets of Temple Bar, and look for gifts at DesignYard.

A major hub for visitors exploring Ireland's western regions, Galway serves as a city of art and culture, renowned for its vibrant lifestyle and numerous festivals.
For shopping fun, head to Burren Perfumery or O`Dalaigh Jewellers. Visiting Cliffs of Moher and Connemara National Park & Visitor Centre will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Galway side-trips: Irish Crafts - Doolin (in Doolin), Hazel Mountain Chocolates (in Bell Harbour) and The Burren Smokehouse, (in Lisdoonvarna). There's still lots to do: look for gifts at Cottage Handcrafts, browse the different shops at Hehirs Of Clifden, and explore the wide array of goods at OMG Zhivago.
