Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Bru na Boinne and Glasrai Goodies. For shopping fun, head to Olde Shillelagh Stick Maker or DesignYard. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Dublin: Kilkenny (Kilkenny Castle & Kilkenny Handwrought Silver) and Jerpoint Glass Studio (in Stoneyford).
