A long-established beach community, Playas del Coco has developed a reputation as a favored spot for young travelers and locals to let loose by the sea.
Start off your visit on the 27th (Thu): indulge in some personalized pampering at some of the best spas. On the 28th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, kick back and relax at Playa Hermosa, and then stop by Cata Chocolate.

Kick off your visit on the 29th (Sat): meet some fierce fish with a shark diving experience, then stop by Papaya Con Leche, and then relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

La Fortuna de San Carlos

Set against the backdrop of the imposing Arenal Volcano, La Fortuna de San Carlos offers visitors a chance to explore diverse natural landscapes and sample some delicious local produce.
Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Wood & Art Gallery and Onirica Art Gallery. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at ChocoMuseo La Fortuna and Galeria Estudio. When in La Fortuna de San Carlos, make a side trip to see Butterfly Conservatory in El Castillo, approximately El Castillo away. There's still lots to do: walk around Bogarin Trail, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, see Off-Road Tours, and trek along Natura Eco Park Costa Rica.
