At the southernmost tip of the island of Corsica, Bonifacio is a city with chalk-white limestone outcrops sculpted into unusual shapes by the ocean.
Bring the kids along to Iles Lavezzi and Plage du Grand Sperone. You'll discover tucked-away gems like La Tonnara Beach and KOCOTTE. There's still lots to do: get outside with Le Club de Voile de Bonifacio, stroll through Plage du Petit Sperone, see Off-Road Tours, and take a memorable tour with Tours.

Innsbruck, Austria to Bonifacio is an approximately 8.5-hour combination of train and flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train, ferry, and bus. Traveling from Innsbruck in August, expect nights in Bonifacio to be about the same, around 19°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 37°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Tue) so you can drive to Calvi.

Calvi is a commune in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica.It is the seat of the Canton of Calvi, which contains Calvi and one other commune, Lumio. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Plage de Bodri and Aregno Beach. Get outdoors at Scuba & Snorkeling and Punta Spano. Venture out of the city with trips to Galeria (Galeria Marina & Vallée du Fango) and Plage de Ghjunchitu (in Corbara). The adventure continues: look for all kinds of wild species at Nature Reserve of Scandola, get outside with Plage de Calvi, and don't miss a visit to Chapelle de Notre Dame de la Serra.

Traveling by car from Bonifacio to Calvi takes 4 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of bus and train. Traveling from Bonifacio in August, Calvi is a bit warmer at night with lows of 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive to Porto.
