Helsingoer

— 6 nights
Home to the castle made famous by Shakespeare's "Hamlet," Helsingoer offers rolling hills and lush forests in the countryside, juxtaposed by the acclaimed art galleries, museums, and cosmopolitan atmosphere of the town center.
Change things up with these side-trips from Helsingoer: Klampenborg (Jaegerborg Dyrehave, Dyrehavsbakken, &more), Experimentarium (in Hellerup) and Charlottenlund (Charlottenlund Fort & Ordrupgaard). There's much more to do: explore the historical opulence of Kronborg, take in the waterfront at Helsingor Havn, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Frederiksborg Slotskirke, and examine the collection at M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark.

For reviews, more things to do, where to stay, and other tourist information, refer to the Helsingoer trip planner.

Brussels, Belgium to Helsingoer is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. Expect a daytime high around 7°C in December, and nighttime lows around 2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
