Hythe

— 59 nights
Hythe, is a small coastal market town on the edge of Romney Marsh, in the District of Shepway (derived from Sheep Way) on the south coast of Kent. Venture out of the city with trips to Bodiam Castle (in Bodiam), Carr Taylor Vineyard (in Westfield) and Battle (BRITISH design BRITISH made & Battle Abbey and Battlefield). Pack the 31st (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Knockhatch Adventure Park. Spend the 2nd (Sat) exploring nature at South Downs Way. There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, admire the natural beauty at Sheffield Park and Garden, walk around Brockhill Country Park, and let little ones run wild at Lower Leas Coastal Park.

For photos, reviews, where to stay, and tourist information, read our Hythe tour itinerary builder.

In January, daily temperatures in Hythe can reach 9°C, while at night they dip to 2°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
