60 days in Bordeaux Itinerary

With a long history of producing regional wines since the Romans brought grapevines here during the first century, so many people consider Bordeaux to be the wine capital of the world.

Step off the beaten path and head to Grosse Cloche de Bordeaux and Virtual Room Bordeaux. Get out of town with these interesting Bordeaux side-trips: Saint-Emilion (Chateau Guadet, Chateau Cantenac, &more), Chateau Marquis de Vauban (in Blaye) and Chateau de Reignac (in Saint-Loubes). Pack the 18th (Sat) with family-friendly diversions at Chateau Fort de Saint Jean d'Angle. There's lots more to do: make a trip to Porte Cailhau, walk around Parc animalier Rene CANIVENC (Le Moulineau), take in nature's colorful creations at Jardin Public, and see the interesting displays at Musee du Vin et du Negoce.
