Sheffield

Sheffield is a town 23 kilometres inland from Devonport on the north-west coast of Tasmania. Twelve Acre Wood has been added to your itinerary. Attractions like Tasmazia & The Village of Lower Crackpot and Mosaic Pathway make great kid-friendly stops. Venture out of the city with trips to Alum Cliffs (in Chudleigh) and Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park (Crater Lake Circuit, Dove Lake Circuit, &more). Lying in the Tamar Valley and surrounded by forested hills, the grid-patterned city of Launceston boasts shaded avenues, vibrant street life, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Start off your visit on the 29th (Tue): take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, identify plant and animal life at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, then admire the masterpieces at Lady Franklin Gallery, then take in the awesome beauty at Mount Wellington, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Nutgrove Beach.
