You can drive from Jeddah to Mecca in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Expect somewhat warmer weather when traveling from Jeddah in March: highs in Mecca hover around 42°C, while lows dip to 28°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 11th (Thu) early enough to travel to Al Khobar.
