City of Angels

Enjoy cultural, historical, and culinary exploration during your holiday in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand and the most populous city in the country.
Get a sense of the local culture at The Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew). Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) and Siam Paragon. Get out of town with these interesting Bangkok side-trips: Wat Chaiwatthanaram (in Ayutthaya), Bang Saen Beach (in Chonburi) and Amphawa Floating Market (in Amphawa). And it doesn't end there: pause for some serene contemplation at Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun), take in the spiritual surroundings of Erawan Shrine (Thao Mahaprom Shrine), hunt for treasures at Pak Khlong Talat (Flower Market), and shop like a local with Siam Square.

To see where to stay, photos, other places to visit, and other tourist information, read Bangkok route maker website.

If you are flying in from Malaysia, the closest major aiports are Suvarnabhumi Airport, Don Mueang International Airport and U-Tapao International Airport. In November, daily temperatures in Bangkok can reach 38°C, while at night they dip to 29°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel back home.
