City of Sun

As Valencia’s second largest city and one of the most well-known along the Costa Blanca, Alicante has an enchanting atmosphere that blends rich history with animated beach life.
You'll get in some beach time at Playa de Levante and Las Salinas de Torrevieja. Get some cultural insight at El Casco Antiguo de Benidorm and Castillo de Santa Barbara. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Alicante: Sala de Exposiciones Vista Alegre (in Torrevieja), Benidorm (Placa del Castell, Platja de Ponent, &more) and Castell de Guardamar (in Guardamar del Segura). There's lots more to do: browse the eclectic array of goods at Mercat del Riurau, don't miss a visit to Explanada de Espana, admire the masterpieces at Museo de Arte Contemporaneo de Alicante (MACA), and get engrossed in the history at MARQ Museo Arqueologico de Alicante.
