A lively seaport renowned for its high concentration of Art Nouveau buildings, Alesund stretches over seven islands and features a compact city center almost entirely surrounded by water.Venture out of the city with trips to Hellesylt (Peer Gynt Galleriet, Hellesyltfossen, &more), Andalsnes (Stigfossen Waterfall, Romsdalseggen, &more) and Molde (Hjertoya Island Nature Trail, Mountain trips in Romsdal, &more).
