Queen of the Hills

The train, the tea, and the hills bring visitors to Darjeeling, one of India's most famous and well-preserved Raj-era hill stations.
On the 23rd (Mon), admire the masterpieces at Himalayan Tibet Museum, don't miss a visit to Batasia Loop, then take some stellar pictures from Tiger Hill, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Guru Sakya Monastery. On the 24th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mahakal Temple, then deepen your understanding at Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, then learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Japanese Peace Pagoda.
