The Heart of Tasmania
Lying in the Tamar Valley and surrounded by forested hills, the grid-patterned city of Launceston boasts shaded avenues, vibrant street life, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere.Kick off your visit on the 29th (Tue): walk around City Park, identify plant and animal life at Cataract Gorge Reserve, then take in the views from Alexandra Suspension Bridge, and finally admire the sheer force of Lilydale Falls.
