Get out of town with these interesting Perth side-trips: Mandurah (Mandurah Community Museum, Dolphin & Whale Watching, &more), Fremantle (The Fremantle Round House, Fremantle Markets, &more) and Zig Zag Scenic Drive (in Gooseberry Hill). Dedicate the 1st (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. The adventure continues: stroll around Kings Park and Botanic Garden, explore the activities along Swan River, pause for some photo ops at State War Memorial, and get great views at Fraser Avenue Lookout.

Adelaide to Perth is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a train. The time zone difference moving from Australian Central Standard Time to Australian Western Standard Time is minus 1.5 hours. In October, daytime highs in Perth are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. On the 3rd (Tue), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can fly to Melbourne.

Explore Melbourne's surroundings by going to Anglican Church, Barwon Heads (in Barwon Heads), Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden (in Olinda) and The Great Ocean Road (in Torquay). Dedicate the 8th (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. On the 18th (Wed), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour.
