City of Dreaming Spires

A busy, cosmopolitan city, Oxford is perhaps best known for its ancient university.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Oxford: Cotswold Falconry Centre (in Moreton-in-Marsh) and Walks With Hawks (in Cheltenham). The adventure continues: brush up on your knowledge of spirits at The Oxford Artisan Distillery, see the interesting displays at Pitt Rivers Museum, admire the landmark architecture of Bodleian Library, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Mary Magdalen Church.

To find photos and other tourist information, read Oxford trip website.

Newport to Oxford is an approximately 2-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or do a combination of train and bus. In July, plan for daily highs up to 27°C, and evening lows to 13°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Mon) so you can go by car back home.
