Let the collections at USS Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park capture your imagination. Battleship Missouri Memorial and Makapuu Lighthouse Trail are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Take a break from Honolulu with a short trip to Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, about 1h 5 min away. There's much more to do: see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, take in the pleasant sights at Diamond Head State Monument, look for all kinds of wild species at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, and steep yourself in history at Iolani Palace.
