You can fly from Sydney to Tokyo in 13.5 hours. You'll gain 1 hour traveling from Sydney to Tokyo due to the time zone difference. Expect colder temperatures when traveling from Sydney in January; daily highs in Tokyo reach 11°C and lows reach 1°C. You will leave for Seoul on the 2nd (Thu).

One of east Asia's major cultural and financial centers, Seoul boasts five World Heritage Sites and a huge selection of museums, temples, shrines, palaces, parks, gardens, and glass-and-steel skyscrapers.

Let the collections at Gyeongbokgung Palace and National Folk Museum of Korea capture your imagination. Head to Myeongdong Shopping Street and Gyeongdong Marketfor plenty of shopping. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Seoul: Suwon (Seonamgangnu Pavilion & Hwaseong Fortress), Cheonggyesa Temple (in Uiwang) and DMZ Haemaru Village (in Paju). Fly from Tokyo to Seoul in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can fly; or do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of train and ferry. Traveling from Tokyo in February, expect Seoul to be slightly colder, temps between 5°C and -4°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 12th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
