Peterborough shot to fame as the gateway to the Kawartha Lakes, a huge draw for local and international visitors since the early 20th century.
Step off the beaten path and head to Ste. Anne's Spa and Primitive Designs. Step out of Peterborough to go to Port Hope and see Holton Flowers, which is approximately 44 minutes away.
