The tourist town of Sauraha stands on the edge of the Chitwan National Park and acts as the eastern gateway to a World Heritage-protected area.

Nagarkot is a former Village Development Committee located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nepal in Bhaktapur District in the Bagmati Zone and as of 2015 part of Nagarkot Municipality. Sagarmatha National Park
