The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Defence of Darwin Experience and Darwin Aviation Museum. Step off the beaten path and head to Crocosaurus Cove and Speed Boats Tours. Step out of Darwin to go to Berry Springs and see Territory Wildlife Park, which is approximately 42 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: make a splash at Darwin Waterfront, make a trip to Burnett House, get engrossed in the history at RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility, and kick back and relax at Lameroo Beach.
