Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Get in touch with nature at Hietaranta Beach and Ruoholahti Canal. Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Kamppi Chapel of Silence are good opportunities to explore the local culture. An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 18th (Sun): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church, take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and then make a trip to Santa Claus Village. On the next day, don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour, then get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, and finally see Santa Claus Office.
