Perth to Port Arthur is an approximately 9.5-hour combination of flight and bus. The time zone changes from Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) to Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), which is usually a 2 hour difference. Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Coles Bay: Melshell Oyster Shack (in Dolphin Sands) and Spring Vale Wines (in Cranbrook). Spend the 13th (Wed) exploring nature at Freycinet National Park. Spend a day of island exploring on the 15th (Fri) at Maria Island National Park.
