Capital of Peace

Geneva brings the world to one small city with a huge expat population and the highest number of international organizations in any one city.
Venture out of the city with trips to Chateau de Chillon (in Veytaux) and Montreux (Queen Studio Experience, Freddie Mercury Statue, &more). There's still lots to do: contemplate the waterfront views at Lake Geneva, see the interesting displays at Patek Philippe Museum, admire the local landmark of The Geneva Water Fountain, and take some stellar pictures from Cathedrale de St-Pierre.

Alpine Capital of the World

"Situated near the massive peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges and, most notably, the Aiguille du Midi, Chamonix is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and known as the Alpine Capital of the World.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Fri): stroll through Glacier des Bossons, take in the awesome beauty at Aiguille du Midi, then stroll through Vallee Blanche, and finally stroll the grounds of Chamonix Cemetery. Keep things going the next day: fly down the slopes at Domaine des Planards, then take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, then contemplate the waterfront views at Lac Blanc, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Aiguille des Grands Montets.

Traveling by car from Geneva to Chamonix takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a train. Finish your sightseeing early on the 5th (Sat) to allow enough time to drive to Zermatt.

Best known as home the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt serves as a chic ski resort town of the Swiss Alps.
On the 6th (Sun), take in panoramic vistas at Sunnegga, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kapelle Winkelmatten "Zur Heiligen Familie", and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at The Matterhorn. Keep things going the next day: stroll the grounds of Mountaineers' Cemetery, examine the collection at Matterhorn Museum - Zermatlantis, make a trip to Walk of Climb, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Castor Mountain, and finally cruise along Gornergrat.

Getting from Chamonix to Zermatt by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a train. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Mon) early enough to catch the train to Milan.
