Relax by the water at Tamarindo Beach and Playa Avellana. When in Tamarindo, make a side trip to see Playa Conchal in Playa Conchal, approximately Playa Conchal away. The adventure continues: wander the wide-open spaces of Pura Aventura, step aboard Kingpin Sportfishing, and stop by Ocean Leather.

Drive from Santa Teresa to San Jose in 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in January, and nighttime lows around 21°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Thu) early enough to catch the shuttle to Manuel Antonio.
