Tamarindo

Tamarindo ©
Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Pura Aventura and Playa Hermosa. Relax by the water at Tamarindo Beach and Playa Avellana. Change things up with these side-trips from Tamarindo: Playa Conchal (Playa Conchal & Garra de Leon Golf Course). And it doesn't end there: relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, stop by Urban Eclectic Jewelry, get interesting insight from Tours, and view the masterpieces at Lydia Beech Art Boutique.

To find other places to visit, maps, and other tourist information, use the Tamarindo online travel planner.
