Cowes

— 1 night
Resting on the northern coast of Philip Island, Cowes is sandwiched between a coast and a forest.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Mon): get up close to creatures of the deep with Wildlife Coast Cruises, get engrossed in the history at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, and then head off the coast to Churchill Island. On the 23rd (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: find something for the whole family at A Maze'N Things, look for all kinds of wild species at Koala Conservation Centre, then look for all kinds of wild species at Phillip Island Wildlife Park, and finally admire nature's wide array of creatures at The Nobbies Centre.

To find reviews, photos, other places to visit, and other tourist information, use the Cowes trip planner.

Melbourne to Cowes is an approximately 2-hour car ride. You can also do a combination of train and taxi; or do a combination of train and bus. In February, plan for daily highs up to 30°C, and evening lows to 17°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Tue) to allow time to drive back home.
