2 days in Hoi An & Hue Itinerary

Indisputably one of Vietnam's most atmospheric destinations, Hoi An contains a World Heritage-listed old town boasting over 2,000 years of culture and history.

Da Nang to Hoi An is an approximately 1-hour car ride. You can also take a shuttle; or take a bus. August in Hoi An sees daily highs of 40°C and lows of 30°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 9th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Hue.

Nestled on the banks of the Perfume River, the city of Hue remains most famous as the former home of the Nguyen Dynasty, the influence of which remains evident in local palaces, temples, forts, and museums.

You can drive from Hoi An to Hue in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and train; or take a bus. In August in Hue, expect temperatures between 40°C during the day and 29°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Sat) so you can drive back home.
