Traveling by car from Zurich to Lucerne takes an hour. Alternatively, you can take a train. In January in Lucerne, expect temperatures between 4°C during the day and -2°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 22nd (Fri) to allow time for the car ride to Interlaken.

Gstaad is a village in the German-speaking section of the Canton of Bern in southwestern Switzerland. Kick off your visit on the 26th (Tue): take some stellar pictures from Lauenensee and then steep yourself in history at Historical village of Saanen.
