Take a break from the city and head to Parasailing & Paragliding and Phewa Tal (Fewa Lake). On the 19th (Wed), give your taste buds a day to remember with a local gastronomic tour. And it doesn't end there: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Sarangkot, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Barahi temple, explore the fascinating underground world of Gupteswar Gupha, and admire the sheer force of Devi's Fall.

Kathmandu to Pokhara is an approximately 3-hour combination of car and flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. In September, plan for daily highs up to 35°C, and evening lows to 25°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Thu) so you can catch the flight to Sauraha.

Sauraha

The tourist town of Sauraha stands on the edge of the Chitwan National Park and acts as the eastern gateway to a World Heritage-protected area.
On the 21st (Fri), explore the striking landscape of Chitwan National Park. Keep things going the next day: tour the pleasant surroundings at Elephant Breeding Centre, then contemplate the waterfront views at Narayani River, and then view the masterpieces at Sauraha Art Gallery.

Getting from Pokhara to Sauraha by flight takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Pokhara in September, expect Sauraha to be somewhat warmer, temps between 39°C and 29°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sat) to allow time to travel to Kathmandu.

Once synonymous with the mysterious and inaccessible Shangri-La, today Kathmandu draws an ever-increasing number of tourists, catering to independent travelers of various budgets.
Make the 25th (Tue) a memorable day with a climbing tour. There's lots more to do: see the world from above with a helicopter tour, don't miss a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at The Crematoria, and take a stroll through Thamel.

Do a combination of flight and car from Sauraha to Kathmandu in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or drive. Traveling from Sauraha in September, things will get slightly colder in Kathmandu: highs are around 33°C and lows about 22°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 26th (Wed) so you can travel to Sagarmatha National Park.

Sagarmatha National Park

Dominated by the world's tallest, Sagarmatha National Park is renowned for its carefully preserved natural heritage as well as the cultural and religious importance of its Buddhist monasteries and traditional Sherpa settlements.
Step out of the city life by going to Mt Everest and Gokyo Lakes. Explore Sagarmatha National Park's surroundings by going to Sherpa Museum (in Namche Bazaar) and Khumjung Gompa (in Khumjung). There's lots more to do: get great views at Everest View Point, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mt. Ama Dablam, tour the pleasant surroundings at Macchhermo, and explore the activities along Dudh Koshi River.

Getting from Kathmandu to Sagarmatha National Park by combination of car and flight takes about 3.5 hours. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel to Khumbu.
