Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Colosseum and Piazza Navona. Visit Pantheon and Vatican Museums for their historical value. There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at St. Peter's Basilica, admire the local landmark of Trevi Fountain, pause for some serene contemplation at Santa Maria in Trastevere, and don't miss a visit to Roman Forum.

On the 19th (Thu), get engrossed in the history at Topkapi Palace, admire the landmark architecture of Hagia Sophia, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Sultan Ahmed Mosque. Keep things going the next day: browse the eclectic array of goods at Kapali Carsi, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Suleymaniye Cami , and then explore the world behind art at Chora Museum.

Step out of Paris to go to Versailles and see The Royal Chapel, which is approximately 42 minutes away.
