Surfing remains the main reason to take a trip to Tamarindo, as the beachside town is mostly known for its excellent waves.
On the 3rd (Tue), see some colorful creatures with a scuba or snorkeling tour, kick back and relax at Tamarindo Beach, and then look for gifts at Organic Products by Coco Beauty Spa. Here are some ideas for day two: enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Avellana, then find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and then relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers.

Jaco

A seaside resort town with plenty of entertaining distractions along its attractive coastline, Jaco has long been a major tourist destination on the central Pacific coast.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Sat): get interesting insight from Tours, trot along with a tour on horseback, and then get great views at Mirador de Jaco. On your second day here, scramble along the landscape with a canyoning and rapelling tour, then kick back and relax at Jaco Beach, and then snap pictures at Tarcoles Bridge.
