Nestled on the banks of the Perfume River, the city of Hue remains most famous as the former home of the Nguyen Dynasty, the influence of which remains evident in local palaces, temples, forts, and museums.
Get out of town with these interesting Hue side-trips: City of Ghosts - An Bang Cemetery (in Vinh An) and Laguna Golf Lang Co (in Cu Du). There's much more to do: surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, contemplate the long history of The Flag Tower, contemplate the waterfront views at Perfume River, and relax and rejuvenate at some of the best spas.

Thừa Thiên-Huế is a province in the North Central Coast region of Vietnam, approximately in the centre of the country. It borders Quảng Trị Province to the north and Đà Nẵng to the south, Laos to the west and the East Sea to the east. The province has 128 km of coastline, 22,000 ha of lagoons and over 200,000 ha of forest. There is an extensive complex of imperial tombs and temples in Huế.
