Looking out onto a vast coastline from the southern shore of the lake, Cabras represents an ancient village best known for its rare historical finds that date as far back as the Neolithic times.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to I Gatti di Su Pallosu and Sa Mesa Longa. Visit Spiaggia Mari Ermi and Maimoni Beach for some beach relaxation. Step out of Cabras to go to Cuglieri and see S'Archittu, which is approximately 36 minutes away. There's much more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Chiesa di San Giovanni in Sinis, don't miss a visit to Chiesa dello Spirito Santo, steep yourself in history at Area archeologica di Tharros, and examine the collection at Museo Civico Giovanni Marongiu.
