A conglomeration of over a hundred different nationalities, cosmopolitan Malmo sits on the southern tip of Sweden as part of the most densely populated area in Scandinavia.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Oresund Bridge and Skanes Djurpark. Get out of town with these interesting Malmo side-trips: Smalandet Markaryds Algsafari (in Markaryd), Ales Stenar (in Ystad) and Helsingborg (Tropikariet, Church of St. Mary, &more). Traveling by combination of flight and train from Oslo to Malmo takes 5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Oslo in August, expect a bit warmer with lows of 56°F in Malmo. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Sat) to allow time to travel to Rungsted.
