In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Iolani Palace and Shangri La. Step out of the city life by going to Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head State Monument. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Honolulu: Waimea Bay (in Haleiwa) and Kailua (Kailua Beach Park & Lanikai Beach). The adventure continues: stroll through Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve, appreciate the views at Nuuanu Pali Lookout, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and buy something for everyone on your list at Ala Moana Center.

To find ratings, maps, traveler tips, and tourist information, read Honolulu trip itinerary planner.
