You can drive from Varadero to Cayo Guillermo in 7 hours. Other options are to do a combination of taxi and train; or do a combination of bus and car. Traveling from Varadero in July, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be somewhat warmer in Cayo Guillermo, with lows of 29°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 24th (Sat) to allow time to drive to Trinidad.
