Cartago is a city in Costa Rica, about 25km east of the capital, San José. Start off your visit on the 15th (Sun): steep yourself in history at Ruins of Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de la Limpia Concepcion, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario Nacional Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles, and then steep yourself in history at Ruins of the Church of Carthage.

Getting from San Jose to Cartago by car takes about an hour. Other options: take a bus; or take a train. In November, daytime highs in Cartago are 30°C, while nighttime lows are 22°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 15th (Sun) so you can travel to Montezuma.
